EDUCATION CONCERTS
Each season, the ASO performs four concerts for second grade students from Anne Arundel County Schools. The students are prepared for their visit to Maryland Hall with special teacher’s guides prepared by the ASO and distributed several weeks in advance of the concerts. Each concert is designed to engage young listeners with multi-media elements, such as theatre, dance, magic, or puppetry!

Embark on a journey with the ASO where no one has gone before! Experience the celestial sounds of Strauss’ Also Sprach Zarathustra, Holst’s The Planets, and even famous themes from TV shows and movies like Star Trek and E.T.! Students will learn how the sky above has inspired composers to create music as vast and awe-inspiring as the stars themselves! Simply out of this world!
