Musicians come together to form a symphony. Dancers come together to perform a ballet. Voices come together to sing.  Now, all of them are coming together for a worthy cause. Several Anne Arundel County arts organizations - along with Maryland Hall for the Creative Arts and  Hard Bean Coffee & Booksellers - are hosting a food drive to benefit Anne Arundel County Food Bank. The “Arts Against Hunger” Campaign runs October 15 through December 17, 2012.

“There are 25,000 adults and children in our community who don’t know where their next meal is coming from. That is unacceptable.,” notes Katharene Snavely, Executive Director of the Annapolis Symphony Orchestra. “Our symphony has over 70 musicians and thousands of supporters. That’s a lot of people we can reach out to for help. Imagine the collective power and reach when multiple arts organizations join in the effort. What a huge impact we can have by working together!”

The following are partners in the “Arts Against Hunger” campaign:

  • Annapolis Symphony Orchestra
  • Maryland Hall for the Creative Arts
  • Live Arts Maryland
